Hey New Life!
We want to say thank you for your continued generosity in donating to the Pec Food Pantry! You have gone above and beyond every month with your giving and so many people in our communities are blessed because of it!
May Collection
This month, we’re collecting bottles of Juice (Apple, Cranberry, etc) for the pantry. Please leave your donations on the shelves in the hallway going towards the coffee house.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are also many opportunities to serve at the pantry throughout the month! Please see below the days you can volunteer. For any questions or more info about how to get involved, please contact Jen Davison at 815.335.7143
Dates—May 2025:
Distribution Days—Set up for pantry, prepare/carry boxes, put food in clients cars
Saturday, May 10th: 9:30-11:30am
Wednesday, May 21st: 2:30-4:30pm
Tuesday, May 27th: 9:30-11:30am
Packing Days—Load trailer at storage building (First Lutheran Church—627 Taylor St.) then put together and prepare boxes of food for distribution days at the pantry
Friday, May 9th: 9:30am
Tuesday, May 20th: 9:30am
Truck Unload—Unload truck that brings back food from Bloomington at First Lutheran Church Storage Shed (627 Taylor St.), unload NIFB truck, and deliver senior boxes. *The times for these days are not set as the truck arrives at different times. You will receive a text 30mins prior to when you need to be there to help on these dates*

Distribution Days
The Pantry is open to anyone in need, regardless of income, on each second Saturday (10-11:30am), third Wednesday (3-4:30pm), and fourth Tuesday (10-11:30am) of the month. The Pantry currently runs in a drive-through style, clients stay in their cars while pre-made boxes of food are packed in their car.
