Back to School Sunday

On Sunday we honored our students as they are back in school for the 2021-2022 school year! At New Life Bible Church, we recognize the important role that today's youth and children play in the Kingdom of God. They are the future of the Church and are capable of doing amazing things for the Kingdom of God!

As the students go back to school this year here are a few simple yet life changing things you can do to invest in the students at New Life and this crucial generation as they bring the light of Jesus to a dark world.

1.      Share your Testimony

As we talked about on Sunday morning, the testimony of what God has done in our lives has the power to bring generations of people to know Jesus Christ.

“We will not hide them from their descendants;

    we will tell the next generation

the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord,

    his power, and the wonders he has done.”

- Psalms 78:4

2.      Show them Love

The most powerful force on the face of the earth is the love of Jesus. Our students live in a world that is trying to sell them a counterfeit love. It is our job as the Church to show them the one true source of love, Jesus Christ. The younger generations are searching for what can only be found in Jesus. If we do not step up as the Church and point them to the cross, they will go looking for it in the wrong places.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

 - 1 John 4:7-8

3.      Pray

If there is one thing our students need, it is to be covered in prayer. Pray for our students to be protected from the enemy. Pray for our students to be bold in their faith. Pray for our students to be the light to those around them. Pray and pray often. It's sooooo important.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

- Ephesians 6:18
