A Night of Prayer & Worship
Hey New Life!
We want to invite you all to a night of prayer and worship on June 21st. Stop by the church anytime between 7:30pm and 8:30pm to pray for our communities, church, and nation collectively. Stop in for 2 minutes or stay for the whole hour. We will have worship music playing so feel free to sit at the altar as you pray and worship.
We wanted to have this prayer night as our world needs it desperately and we as the church have a responsibility to pray for those around us. We also wanted to do this as we continue to strive to be like the early church in Acts as we go through our “9:31” Summer Series.
The first believers in the book of Acts saw growth in their church because they set a foundation of being steadfast in doctrine, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and PRAYER. Everything that the believers are given flowed from this foundation. God didn’t strengthen them because they sat back and waited for something to happen; they did the work that was asked of them by God and were steadfast in it. The things that followed their devotion were because of the strength of God and not the people, but they made themselves available and obedient and went where God asked them to go. Let us be like the early church in all four ways and focus on the last for this night of prayer.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42)
We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday the 21st!
